A bad season just got worse for Wake Forest with the Friday afternoon announcement that Devin Thomas has been suspended for two games and Cornelius Hudson has been dismissed because of an unspecified "violation of athletics department policy."
“Cornelius and Devin have had lapses of judgment and hopefully they will learn from this,” Demon Deacons coach Danny Manning said. “We will continue to support them with their academic responsibilities at Wake Forest.”
Hudson just put together a career-high 22-point performance in Wake Forest's back-breaking overtime loss at Pitt, the latest in a series of losses in games where Danny Manning's team has been within striking distance but unable to close late during a brutal 11-game losing streak.
