Last year, the Pop-Tars Bowl "cooked" its own mascot and fed it to the winning team, which probably felt like a fever dream at the time but in fact actually happened.
This season the annual bowl is upping the ante, building a working toaster into its trophy... which of course cooks Pop-Tarts.
As the expanded College Football Playoff further casts the other bowl games into glorified exhibition status—as does players entering the transfer portal as soon as the regular season ends—finding a way to stand out is all the more important.
