Another day, another school and athletic program is finding itself in the news for the wrong reasons. This time, it’s the University of Tennessee and members of the Volunteers athletic programs. The school is being investigated by the federal government for the number of sexual assault cases on campus involving students and athletes, as well as how those cases are being handled.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights confirmed they launched their investigation on June 29.
UT officials said Thursday they were “in the process of collecting and preparing the information the Office of Civil Rights has requested.
