Every year, when UCLA vs. USC rolls around, both campuses take extra measures to protect their statues, as students from each school attempt to spray paint them. Last year, UCLA was a bit too late, and the Bruin bear statue was tagged with “SC Runs LA” in red paint. This year, UCLA students aren’t taking any chances, and put up a big protective box around the statue, as they have for the last few years.
Strong effort by the Bruins. We don’t think USC students will be able to get to it this time, but we wouldn’t underestimate the Trojans either.
