Police in Pullman, Washington, provided more information about the death of Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski on Jan. 16.
The police initially announced Hilinski had died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, pending a full autopsy, per the Seattle Times' Stefanie Loh.
According to Loh, police said Tuesday two of Hilinski's teammates had arrived at his apartment after the sophomore quarterback had missed a lunch with members of the team, as well as a weightlifting session. They forced their way inside to discover Hilinski's body.
