Two women who attended Baylor University have joined a Title IX civil rights lawsuit against the school, citing that the school did not do enough to investigate their cases.
That brings the total number of women to eight that have filed suit against the school. The first lawsuit was filed on June 15 and less than two weeks later, three more plaintiffs were added to the case.
Also on Monday, Baylor announced that the school's Title IX coordinator Patty Crawford resigned, saying she was "disappointed in her role in implementing the recommendations that resulted."
That is in reference to an independent investigation looking into how the school handled sexual-assault allegations committed by students, including members of the football team.
