Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley exited the Nittany Lions's matchup vs. Iowa in the second quarter on Saturday, heading to the sidelines with an injured right leg. The senior was replaced by redshirt junior Tommy Stevens, who registered one completion in 2018 prior to Saturday's contest.
McSorley exited the game after completeing four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown, leaving with Penn State down 14-7 at Beaver Stadium in University Park, PA.
A three-year starter, McSorley entered Saturday with 1462 passing yards on the season along with 11 touchdowns. McSorley has added eight rushing touchdowns.
McSorley returned to action late in the second quarter after two pass attempts from Stevens.
