The Western Michigan Broncos clinched a berth in the MAC championship game and maintained their perfect record (12-0) following a 55-35 victory over the Toledo Rockets (9-3) on Friday night in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Broncos relied heavily on the running game to wear down the Rockets defense. Western Michigan possessed the ball for 39 minutes, 27 seconds in large part thanks to Jamauri Bogan, who ran for 198 yards and a touchdown on 31 carries. The Western Michigan defense also forced three turnovers, which the team turned into 21 points.
