Texas QB Arch Manning sets auction record with signed trading card sold for $102,500

Arch Manning is already breaking records − monetary ones, that is.

The Texas freshman quarterback and nephew of NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and former Giant Eli Manning had his first trading card auctioned for $102,500 through the Panini America website, which set a record for the most expensive trading card the company has ever sold.

The card was an autographed, one-of-a-kind one that features an image of him in his Longhorns practice jersey, preparing to pass the ball. The auction ended Saturday and according to ESPN surpassed the record previously set by Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Donu010diu0107, whose autographed, one-of-a-kind card sold for $100,000.
