AUSTIN, Texas -- Point guard Isaiah Taylor has decided to skip his senior season at Texas and enter the NBA draft.
The 6-foot-3 Taylor averaged 15 points, five assists and 2.8 rebounds as he started 33 games last season for the Longhorns, who went 20-13 in their first season under coach Shaka Smart. Texas was a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but lost 75-72 in the first round on a halfcourt shot at the buzzer by Northern Iowa.
Taylor says he has decided to hire an agent, meaning he cannot return for his final season of eligibility.
