Texas A&M basketball managers have some fun with an old rival (PHOTO)

In-state rivals Texas and Texas A&M used to play every year, with the two schools sharing homes in the Southwest and Big 12 conferences. However since the Aggies left the Big 12 for the SEC in 2012, the programs have not met in football or men’s basketball. Whose fault this is will depend upon who’s discussing the dispute, but it’s safe to say that realignment was a factor in the schools not playing each other.

But just because they haven’t played each other doesn’t mean the rivalry has been forgotten.

Sunday morning the Texas A&M basketball managers decided to have some fun with Texas-branded basketballs in their office, adjusting them on the ball rack to make sure that each Longhorn logo was upside down.
