NEW ORLEANS — At first, the injury that sideline Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins for much of the first half of the Tigers' win against Ohio State at the Fiesta Bowl seemed serious enough to put his return in jeopardy, potentially signaling the end of a college career that seems destined to place the junior in the first round of this year's NFL draft.
He was hit by Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller on a high pass from Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, knocking Higgins' helmet off his head as he landed on his left side on the white stripe lining the right sideline.
