TCU has named junior and Texas A&M transfer Kenny Hill its starting quarterback, the program announced Thursday.
Hill beat out sophomore Foster Sawyer for the position after sitting out 2015 due to transfer regulations. Hill threw for 2,649 yards and 23 touchdowns with a 66.7% completion rate at A&M in 2014, but his star fell quickly as he lost the starting job mid-season and ended it serving a two-game suspension for a violation of team rules.
He spent last season as the scout team quarterback and entered with an edge in game experience over Sawyer, who played in four games last season for TCU, but largely struggled.
