Stricklin replaces retiring Foley as Florida AD

Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin will be formally introduced as Florida's athletic director at a 1 p.m. news conference Tuesday, a source confirmed to ESPN.

USA Today was first to report that Stricklin would replace Jeremy Foley, who has been the Gators' athletic director the past 25 years. Foley announced in June that he will retire Oct. 1.

Stricklin, who graduated from Mississippi State in 1992, has been the Bulldogs' AD since 2010.
