Back on the afternoon of Selection Eve, I joined fellow 2016 TuneIn SxSW Selection Special panelist Chuck Nice and former professional footballer Gary O’Reilly to explain bracketology for the eighth episode of StarTalk’s Playing with Science — a March Madness-themed one. We discussed some of the basics, the potentials for controversy (with some rather prescient talk about the mid-majors and scheduling), and I even made a few picks. Given that we recorded my segment before the bracket’s release and the show was scheduled to air right before the Sweet Sixteen, you can bet that many of these were incorrect.
