South Carolina starting quarterback Connor Mitch is likely out for the season with a shoulder injury, Steve Spurrier told reporters following the Gamecocks’ loss to Kentucky this evening.
Mitch, a sophomore, suffered a separated shoulder in the game against the Wildcats.
Spurrier said “that usually takes a year” to recover from.

Perry Orth took over for Mitch against UK, throwing for 179 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
