Source: Stricklin to replace Foley as Florida AD

Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin will be named Florida's athletic director on Tuesday, a source told ESPN.

The news was first reported by USA Today.

Stricklin will replace Jeremy Foley, who was the Gators' athletic director for the past 25 years before announcing in June that he would retire Oct. 1.

Stricklin, who graduated from Mississippi State in 1992, has been the Bulldogs' AD since 2010. Before that he was assistant or associate AD at Tulane, Baylor and Kentucky.
