Seth Littrell to North Texas: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

North Carolina assistant coach Seth Littrell is reportedly in line to become the new head football coach at North Texas.

Brett McMurphy of ESPN reported that Littrell, who serves as the assistant head coach for offense and tight ends coach with the Tar Heels, beat out TCU co-offensive coordinator Doug Meacham for the position. The report noted he'll still help lead the UNC offense in the ACC title game against Clemson on Saturday night.

Littrell joined the North Carolina staff in 2014. This season, he's watched over a unit that ranks 16th in yards per game, which is a key reason the Tar Heels are still alive in the playoff race.
