Randy Wade knew heading into his protest that the odds of anything coming of it were slim. That didn't stop him and roughly a score of Big Ten parents from assembling outside of the conference's headquarters Friday morning to seek answers from commissioner Kevin Warren.
Never mind the fact that Warren and his staff have been working remotely throughout the coronavirus pandemic — the very reason the league canceled all fall sports last week. The announcement spurred sufficient outrage for Wade to book a flight to from his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport — a little more than a stone's throw from the conference offices in Rosemont, Illinois.
