Schools to Watch After 4-Star Devodrick Johnson Decommitted from Texas A&M

The commitment lasted all of 25 days. Devodrick Johnson is an uncommitted target once again.

A 4-star athlete from Kimball High School in Dallas, projected to play outside linebacker in college, Johnson announced on Monday that he was decommitting from Texas A&M. Johnson gave the Aggies his verbal pledge on July 14 after taking an unofficial visit the same day.

He now is looking at other opportunities.

Johnson told E.J. Holland of 247Sports.com that the results of July's Chalk Talk clinic—where assistant coaches Jim Turner (offensive line) and Jeff Banks (special teams coordinator/tight ends) were suspended two weeks without pay and issued 20 hours of community service—played a role in his decision to reopen the process.
