Saint Joseph's coach Phil Martelli has agreed to a multiyear contract extension, the school announced Thursday.
Exact terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Martelli, who has been Saint Joseph's coach since 1996, has a 375-265 career mark at the school. His teams have won at least 20 games eight times during his tenure.
He was named The Associated Press' Coach of the Year in 2004 when he guided the Hawks to a school-record 30 victories and to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament. He also has four Atlantic-10 Coach of the Year honors on his resume and owns a 185-137 record in the conference, which he has won twice, most recently in 2013-14.
