It looks like quarterback Malik Zaire wasn’t the only player Notre Dame lost for the season due to injury in Saturday’s win over Virginia.
According to Irish Illustrated’s Pete Sampson, red-shirt sophomore tight end Durham Smythe will miss the remainder of the year after suffering an ankle injury vs. the Cavaliers.

Rough blow for the Fighting Irish, who have now lost three offensive starters for the season in the first two weeks.
