Freshman quarterback Jacob Eason will start Georgia's Saturday game against Nicholls State, according to multiple reports.
He will become the first true freshman quarterback to start for the Bulldogs since Matthew Stafford did so in 2006, according to DawgNation.
Eason shared signal-calling duites with fifth-year senior Greyson Lambert last Saturday in Georgia's 33-24, season-opening win against North Carolina.
Eason went 8-of-12 for 131 yards and one touchdown and was sacked once. Lambert was 5-of-8 for 54 yards and was sacked three times.
Eason signed with Georgia out of Lake Stevens, Wash.
