Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar is looking for any kind of spark when it comes to landing marquee talent after losing both Robert Upshaw and Nigel Williams-Goss this offseason. So the veteran Huskie head coach made an offer for an assistant coaching spot for Michael Porter Sr., who is currently a women’s basketball assistant coach at Missouri.
Porter Sr. turned the job down the Washington job this week, according to a report from Blake Toppmeyer of the Columbia Daily Tribune. He will remain at Missouri for now.
