Randy Moss and Alex Smith are the first two entries into the College Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2024.
Both were told the news during the broadcast of ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown.
Moss caught 90 passes for 1,647 yards and 25 touchdowns in his final season at Marshall, earning All-American honors along with being named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year. He had also helped the Thundering Herd win a I-AA national title in 1996 before they moved up to Division I.
Smith spent three years at Utah, throwing for 5,199 yards and 47 touchdowns in his two seasons as the starting quarterback.
