Plaxico Burress goes off on refs after Michigan State loss

Another week, another NCAA officiating controversy.

A week after the ACC suspended an entire officiating crew for botching the end of the Miami-Duke game, this time a terrible call had an impact on the College Football Playoff chase. The undefeated Michigan State Spartans drew the short straw when Nebraska’s winning touchdown in the closing seconds was allowed to stand after the receiver ran out of bounds. The officials called it a force out and counted the score even though the Michigan State defender had his back turned and didn’t lay a hand on the Nebraska player.

In reacting to the play, former Spartan wide receiver and longtime NFL veteran Plaxico Burress… well, let’s just say he did not handle it so well.
