Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire is in the hospital recovering from surgery on the broken right ankle he suffered against Virginia on Saturday. It’s an injury that will cost him the rest of this season.
Zaire’s offensive coordinator Mike Sanford and his family visited the laid up lefty today and it looks like they definitely put a smile on his face.
Good to see @LuckyLefty8 today with the family! Such a great kid and so proud of him! Go Irish!! pic.twitter.com/fhtOqhTQad

It’s great to see coaches that truly care about their players.
