The Michigan State Spartans are expected to be legitimate contenders to make the second college football playoff. A large part of those expectations hinge on quarterback Connor Cook and how he plays in his senior season.
Last season under head coach Mark Dantonio, the Spartans finished with a 11-2 record including a 7-1 record against the Big Ten. They beat the Baylor Bears in the Cotton Bowl to finish the season as well. Cook is expected to take them to an even better season in 2015 and the excitement is beginning to build with the season kicking off against Western Michigan on September 4th.
