Oregon brings Brady Hoke on board as defensive coordinator

Former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke will be Oregon's new defensive coordinator, Ducks head coach Mark Helfrich announced Saturday.

Hoke, 57, left Michigan following a tumultuous 2014 season. He was 31-20 as head coach of the Wolverines and 78-70 overall with previous stops at Ball State and San Diego State..

"We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Hoke to the Oregon family," Helfrich said of Hoke, who spent five years as an assistant at Oregon State from 1989 to 1994.. "He's passionate, knowledgeable and tough, and has an outstanding track record of success from a defensive standpoint.
