Week 8 produced its share of upsets in college football. Though none of the top five teams in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll actually lost, that didn’t stop the voters from rearranging things a bit.
The change didn’t apply to No. 1 Georgia, of course. The Bulldogs had the weekend off heading into their annual showdown with archrival Florida and are still the unanimous top choice.
There is, however, a new No. 2. Oklahoma was demoted to No. 4 after needing to overcome a sluggish first half at Kansas. Cincinnati moves up to the second position, its highest ranking in program history, after outlasting Navy on the road.
