Notre Dame held grueling workouts in offseason preparing for Georgia showdown

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Chase Claypool remembers the sandpit most of all.

“That was pretty bad,” Notre Dame’s star wide receiver says. “It was probably the hardest drill.”

Then again, the weighted vest lunges were no picnic either during offseason conditioning.

“We were just doing seat rolls, which is all fours and you roll over and then up-downs and shuffles on all fours,” Claypool says.
