The last time Maryland and Ohio State met on the basketball court, the Terps handed the Buckeyes a historic 100-65 beatdown. It was the first 30-point loss for OSU since 1998 along with it being the first time an opponent has scored 100 points and the worst loss under Thad Matta.
Ohio State got a chance to exact some revenge from that whipping on Sunday back in Columbus, catching a Maryland team fresh off its first signature win of the season, beating Iowa 74-68 in College Park. The Buckeyes scrapped and battled until the final whistle and even held the lead for a brief moment in the second half but ultimately came up short, losing 66-61.
