There was some train of thought out there that No.1 Kansas might let up a bit following its clinching of at least a share of the Big 12 title on Saturday against Texas Tech for the 12th straight year.
Oh boy, was that thought wrong.
The newly-minted number one team in the country went out and took Texas behind the woodshed on Monday, beating the Longhorns 86-56. Perry Ellis, as he so often has been this season, was the star for the Jayhawks, scoring 20 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists.
