Nick Saban and Mark Richt faced each other six times in SEC competition, three times while Saban was at LSU and three times when he’s been at Alabama. While Saban won four of those meetings, including two SEC championship games, he clearly had tremendous respect for Richt based off his comments on tonight’s SEC coaches’ teleconference.
Speaking with the media, Saban offered some support for Richt, who was fired by Georgia earlier today.
“I don’t know what the world is coming to in our profession.
