Bowl season kicks off with the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, with UTSA making its first-ever bowl appearance against the New Mexico Lobos.
This is the Lobos' second-straight trip to the New Mexico Bowl under coach Bob Davie, dropping a 45-37 thriller to Arizona in 2015. Armed with the nation's top rushing attack, Davie's group will try to pound its way to avenging that tough loss.
Making their bowl season debut, expect the Roadrunners will answer fire with fire. Led by the combo of Jarveon Williams and Jalen Rhodes, UTSA will do whatever it can to keep its defense off the field against the high-scoring Lobos, who average nearly 38 points per game.
