Editor's note: The NCAA tournament Bubble Watch has been updated through games played Wednesday, Feb. 20.
After its hard-fought, 48-46 loss to Purdue at home, Indiana is no longer on the Bubble Watch. The loss left the Hoosiers at 13-13 overall and 4-11 in the Big Ten.
Ironically, the nail-biter against the Boilermakers marked arguably IU's most impressive showing since Archie Miller's men won at Michigan State at the beginning of the month. Nevertheless, Indiana's fifth consecutive defeat at home leaves this team with an exceptionally difficult and unlikely path to an at-large bid.
Yes, if the Hoosiers win out the rest of the way and finish the regular season 18-13 and 9-11 in conference play, then a team with wins over Marquette, Louisville and the Spartans would be in the conversation for the field of 68.
