NC State coach Des Kitchings apologized after Saturday's 56-41 loss to Clemson for an incident on the sidelines where he struck out at Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson was pushed out of bounds after a run and appeared to stick his finger in the face of Kitchings, who responded with a jab/shove towards the quarterback:
"A guy kind of swung at me and pushed me off. I just walked away. I don’t know why he did it," Watson said of the incident via ESPN's David Hale.
Kitchings was caught up in the moment according to NC State head coach Dave Doeren.
