ANNAPOLIS, Md.— On first and goal from the SMU 4, there was no question who was getting the ball.
Keenan Reynolds scored on a quarterback sneak, finally getting that 78th rushing touchdown of his career to become college football’s all-time leader. He had been tied with running back Montee Ball, who ran for 77 touchdowns at Wisconsin from 2009-12.
Reynolds capped a 14-play, 70-yard drive, which was kept alive by a 3-yard run from fullback Chris Swain on fourth-and-1 the play before.
Reynolds nearly broke the record last weekend when Navy crushed then unbeaten No. 13 Memphis on the road 45-20.
