After more than 150 women made victim impact statements at Larry Nassar's sentencing hearing, the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State team doctor was sentenced Wednesday to 40 to 175 years in prison on sexual assault charges.
Countless people have offered their support and praise for the survivors who spoke out against Nassar, including Michigan State football player David Beedle. The junior offensive lineman tweeted a heartfelt message Wednesday, applauding the women for fighting for justice and using #TimesUp.
He also said that had men on the football team been the ones victimized, "action would've been taken immediately.
