Over the last two seasons, Minnesota Football has taken some great strides toward improving their program and becoming competitive in the Big 10 conference. Following a four year stretch in which the team posted losing record, it’s safe to say that the improvement in the previous two seasons shows a lot of promise for the Golden Gophers. Under the direction of Jerry Kill, Minnesota Football has emerged as a formidable opponent that is capable of doing damage in the Big 10 and beyond.

Last season the Golden Gophers got off to an impressive start with a 6-1 record, however, their momentum was soon derailed after a couple of nail-biting losses.
