HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. -- Authorities say 23-year-old Maikhail Miller, a former quarterback at Mississippi, has died in a single-vehicle crash.
Coroner James Anderson in Mississippi's Marshall County told local media outlets Miller's SUV overturned Saturday evening near Holly Springs, ejecting him.
Miller played for Mississippi in 2012-13 and transferred to Murray State University after Mississippi signed highly recruited quarterbacks DeVante Kincade and Ryan Buchanan. Miller left Murray State after a year.
He played in two games for Ole Miss, rushing six times for 23 yards.
At Murray State, he had 223 yards and three touchdowns in the 2013 season-opener against a Missouri team that went on to win the SEC East.
