ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- John Beilein is set up to finish his coaching career at Michigan if he so chooses after agreeing to a contract extension through the 2020-21 season.
His contract with Michigan wasn't scheduled to expire until the end of the 2018-19 season. In addition to two more seasons, Beilein's annual salary was bumped up nearly $1 million, from $2.45 million to $3.37 million.
If he finishes the deal it would bring Beilein, 62, into his sixth decade as a collegiate head coach. He took his first job at Erie Community College in 1978.
