Michigan State Spartans sophomore forward Marvin Clark has a left foot injury, and the school has announced he'll be out 6-8 weeks.
If the foot takes particularly long to heal, that means Clark will not be available for Tom Izzo's team for the start of the season. MSU's season begins Nov. 13, when the Spartans play host to Florida Atlantic in East Lansing. Michigan State will play Kansas, in Chicago, on Nov. 17 in the annual Champions Classic. Both teams are expected to be nationally ranked when that game is played.
In terms of Clark's foot injury, the Detroit Free Press' Joe Rexrode reports it's a stress reaction, per Izzo.
