Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh has found a new issue to champion this offseason.
In a letter published Thursday, Harbaugh is urging the NFL and NCAA to change their rules and allow college football players to enter the NFL draft at any point during their college career and to be allowed to return to school if they weren’t drafted.
Harbaugh’s proposal, as outlined in an “open letter to the football community," would necessitate an agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players’ Association to lift the requirement that players be three years removed from high school to be draft-eligible.
