Michigan assistant got 'butt chewed out' for 20 minutes by Nick Saban when he left Alabama

New Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis began last Thursday with plans to take a new job at Maryland.

Gattis, who turned 35 on Tuesday, had been with Nick Saban and Alabama as a co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach for one season. He left James Franklin's Penn State staff after four years for Tuscaloosa and did so with plans to stay with the Crimson Tide for more than one season.
