Michael White gets UF job

In the same offseason that Mississippi State hired a man who has coached in three Finals Fours (Ben Howland), Alabama hired a former NBA Coach of the Year (Avery Johnson), and Tennessee hired a veteran with six Sweet Sixteen appearances (Rick Barnes), Florida just hired someone who has never coached in the NCAA Tournament (Michael White).

So, predictably, the announcement was met with a collective ... WHO?

But that sentiment mostly came from folks who don't follow college basketball closely because folks who don't follow college basketball closely don't know anything about guys who coach at schools like Louisiana Tech.
