KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. — On May 12, first-year Memphis coach Mike Norvell posted a video to his Twitter account from the city’s annual barbecue festival that draws visitors from all over the world. On April 23, the day after Memphis’ spring game, he shared videos and pictures from a downtown hot wing festival. A week before that, he hit the crawfish festival. And at one point, he posted a picture of the menu from Gus’ World Famous Fried Chicken.
That culinary chronology has nothing to do with Norvell’s waistline — which, for the record, appears to be no different than when he was the offensive coordinator at Arizona State.
