First, Quinn Ewers led his Texas Longhorns to a massive road victory over the reigning champion Michigan Wolverines.
Then, he moved up to the No. 2 position among all quarterbacks on the latest big board from ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr..
Kiper released the latest edition of his rankings Friday, and Georgia's Carson Beck is still the No. 1 signal-caller. However, Ewers jumped ahead of Colorado's Shedeur Sanders for the No. 2 spot in those same rankings. Ewers rose from No. 16 to No. 9 overall, while Sanders fell from No. 9 to No. 14.
"Ewers has the opportunity and traits to catch Beck in this quarterback class, but he needs to keep improving his consistency as a passer," Kiper wrote.
