Michigan State Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio took breaking up the monotony of training camp to a new level, according to Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press. Per Rexrode, Dantonio went the extra mile and actually hired a hypnotist to entertain the players.
And, of course, hypnotize some of them.
Offensive lineman Brian Allen offered a fun account of the experience to Rexrode.
“He’s like ‘Pretend you’re racing a horse. This is your ticket, the louder you cheer, the better your horse is,'” Brian Allen said. “And they’re like half awake, half sleeping and they’re just going nuts.
