NEW ORLEANS — After a summer apart, LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda had a surprise waiting on the first day of fall camp: an all-out, no-holds-barred blitz package that had defenders celebrating in the backfield against LSU's unprepared offense.
For what may be the last time during the 2019 season, an LSU offense that has set and reset school and conference records was rocked on its heels by an opposing defense. Offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger was not amused, and told Aranda as much in colorful, expletive-laden terms.
